Lang Nguyen

Technology Hampton Roads (formerly Hampton Roads Technology Council)
As Vice President of Business Development at The GBS Group, Lang Nguyen focuses on cultivating new business and extending services to clients in the rail transportation industry and defense-related companies and agencies. The GBS Group provides engineering and technical services consulting, specializing in reliability engineering.
Lang has 10 years of extensive experience developing and restructuring programs to better support and capture business opportunities, improve performance, increase profit and deliver quality customer service. Her experience in managing programs and developing customer relationships includes project management; system analysis and design; risk and cost management; research and development; quality assurance; system implementation and integration; user training, and strategic planning. She also has experience developing marketing/sales materials.
In addition to working with The GBS Group, Lang serves as an active board member of the Hampton Roads Technology Council and participates as a volunteer and judge with the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Program and the church. She received her B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Tech.
Tim Early
President/CEO, Technology Hampton Roads

As President of HRTC, Mr. Early is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the association. He is responsible for providing assistance to local startup companies and entrepreneurs. In this capacity he links the region's companies and entrepreneurs with resources in the Commonwealth's universities, federal laboratories and other organizations to address technical, manufacturing and environmental opportunities and problems
Mr. Early brings extensive practical business experience to HRTC. Prior to HRTC, Mr. Early assisted Virginia companies in the Center for Innovative Technology and earlier, the Technology Applications Center at Old Dominion University's College of Engineering and Technology. His experience includes assisting individual manufacturers and groups of manufacturers with technology and managerial methodologies. With the implementation of innovative approaches, Mr. Early helped companies improve productivity, which resulted in more competitive operations. Mr. Early also served as president and general manager of a window systems and doors manufacturer. His experience in this role offers clients a sound perspective regarding small business operations.
Jarrett Brandon Early

Executive Director, Hampton Roads Technology Incubator System

Jarrett Brandon Early, a graduate of Old Dominion University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, helps manage the day to day operations of the Council while also serving as the Executive Director of the Incubator System. Jarrett brings both academic and real world experience to the Incubator, having earned his MBA from UNC and his entrepreneurial stripes from a document management start-up fresh out of undergrad school.

Gregory Stringfield, Investment Advisor Representative, partners with business owners and executives to help build prosperous companies and integrate that prosperity into their family through estate planning and business exit strategies. Gregory also helps clients design 401K plans that can attract and retain employees as well as incentive stock options and qualified or non-qualified executive compensation.
Bonnie Stretz

Senior Relationship Manager - RBC
Bonnie has over 22 years of experience in the banking industry all spent with Wachovia Bank and it's predecessors. She began her banking career in 1986 as a teller while she was still attending college. Over the years she has held several positions with the bank including commercial loan processor, business banking credit analyst, problem resolution specialist, and a loan review officer just prior to becoming a lender. She is currently a Senior Relationship Manager in the Business Banking area for Wachovia Bank where she has held a lending position since 1994. As a Senior Relationship Manager, Bonnie is responsible for managing a portfolio of investment real estate, operating company, and nonprofit clients and prospects. In addition, she acts as a mentor for the junior relationship managers in her area. Over the years she has accumulated an enhanced knowledge of treasury service products, business and personal deposit products, merchant services, off balance sheet investment options, loan options, foreign exchange, employee benefits, leasing options, credit analysis, and capital markets transactions to name a few. Her daily focus is to provide proactive, thoughtful ideas to help a company manage and grow its business, retain its employees and accumulate wealth for the owners.
In addition to serving as a Board Member for HRTC, Bonnie is also an active member of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce (SRC committee), HRACRE and the CBDA. Bonnie graduated from Old Dominion University with a BS in Business Administration with a major in Corporate Finance. She currently resides in the Pungo area of Virginia Beach, and is the proud mother of a daughter (Sheyenne, 11) and a son (Carson, 3). In her free time, you can usually find her at the soccer field or working with her horses.
