Join HRTC at our Tech Tigers Breakfast Series. This October 7th breakfast will focus on how businesses can maximize the political landscape through lobbying, involving themselves in government affairs, or simply staying in the know. HRTC lobbyist Skip Maupai will give a brief tutorial on lobbying, lobbying on behalf on the private sector for both large and small companies, and some differences between lobbying State and Federal government. Following this, lobbyist Elizabeth Kersey will speak on representation of local government on state and federal levels. Former Hampton Councilman Dr. Charles Sapp will speak about the importance of flexibility and agility in lcoal government to take advantage of fast track oppotunities.

From Richmond/DC Area: Take I-95 South to I-295 South then take I-64 East. Follow I-64 East to Military Highway exit 281B. The hotel is 500 yards from the exit ramp, on the left.
From Carolinas: Take I-95 North to 58 East then take I-64 West. Follow I-64 West to Northhampton Blvd. exit 282. At bottom of ramp take a left onto Northhampton Blvd. Go under the overpass and proceed to the first stop light and take a right onto USAA Drive. Turn right into the hotel parking lot.
Registration and Payment
All attendees must have a paid registration to enter an event. Invoicing must be requested well in advance of an event so that payment can be made prior to that event. Registration will close 48 hours prior to an event. HRTC must sign venue contracts and provide attendance guarantees based on registration counts. Walk-ins will not be accepted at most events, particularly sold out events. Once registration is closed and when walk-ins are accepted, an additional fee will be assessed.
Sell Outs
Should an event be sold out, you can be added to a waiting list by e-mailing your contact information, the event in question and the number of tickets requested to info@hrtc.org. Requests will be time-stamped and filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Only e-mail requests will secure a spot on the waiting list – phone calls will not be accepted.
Registration Cancellation
Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to info@hrtc.org more than two business days in advance in order to receive a refund. No-shows will not receive refunds.

Tax Implications
Fees paid or pro bono services provided to the Hampton Roads Technology Council are not deductible as charitable contributions. However, they may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses.
