Virginia’s 2008 Advanced SBIR Forum

October 22, 2008, Herndon, VA
Current and prior SBIR/STTR award winners are invited to join us for a special Advanced SBIR Forum where you’ll learn advanced strategies and thoughts on how to get the most out of your SBIR/STTR and improve your odds of a successful commercialization and transition event.  Derived from the SBIR-Max workshop CIT helped design and conduct over the past several years, this forum replaces Virginia’s annual SBIR conference this year.  We hope you can join us!  

Highlights Include:

  • The SBIR program is undergoing changes – make sure you keep up to speed on what these changes mean to you, and how they may lead to ways for you to make your proposal more competitive in an environment of ever-increasing competition.

  • Learn how to take full advantage of the benefit afforded to you as an SBIR/STTR recipient.  These benefits are gaining more importance as the program evolves.    

  • You won your award – congrats!  The hard part is over, but the hard part has just begun. Learn how to manage your Phase I more effectively and increase your chance at receiving a Phase II and/or Phase III. 

  • Keys to Strategic Planning, Strategic Alliances, and Customer Communications

  • Should congressional earmarks be a part of your Phase III funding strategy?
