Major Goal: Coordinate Hampton Roads educational and workforce training providers to meet the workforce needs of the defense and homeland security businesses:

C1. Sub Goal: Work with Opportunity Inc. and Peninsula Council for Workforce Development to engage DHS/DoD companies for skill sets needed, especially for entry-level employees and involving all levels of Hampton Roads education resources (public and private).

  • Engage Opportunity Inc. http://www.opp-inc.org/ and Peninsula Council for Workforce Development http://www.pcfwd.org/ for workforce development advancement for HRTC-DHSC skills assessments and all levels of education/workforce development.

  • Work with the two workforce development boards in the development and deployment of survey. Matthew James at PCWD is open to adding a new cluster focused on D&HS.
