Technology Hampton Roads and Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce Form Unique Alliance
Virginia Beach, VA and Hampton, VA. May 7, 2010. THR and the VPCC announced the formation of a membership alliance which provides each organization with unique opportunities to further their core mission when serving their members by making reciprocal memberships available.
The new alliance allows each organization to utilize the other’s resources for expanded business development opportunities, such as, public policy and advocacy resources and sharing subject matter experts for enhanced educational and business improvement opportunities. In addition, the alliance creates the framework for the development of new collaborative initiatives which will assist each organization in providing dynamic resources leading to bottom-line improvement and skill enhancement of its individual members and their businesses.
Tim Early, President of THR, said, “The alliance with the VPCC provides for the sharing of legislative monitoring services and public policy awareness in matters affecting business operations which will supplement our current monitoring of technology-focused matters. It’s a “win-win” for our members and our organizations.”
Dottie Jordan, President of the VPCC, said, “The alliance with THR offers our members a reservoir of subject-matter expertise in technology which will enhance the Chamber’s ever-growing emphasis on business improvement through education. Our joint effort is an example of regional cooperation and collaboration at its best.”
Representatives from both organizations are working closely in developing joint collateral marketing materials and in developing a seamless process for member collaboration. Together, the THR and the VPCC represent over 2800 businesses and individuals throughout Virginia.
